This piece is inspired by the international movement "Project Semicolon"—a symbol for people who have experienced personal struggles, representing the choice to continue their story rather than end it.
The background is crafted using an actual newspaper published on the artist's birth date, featuring headlines from a pivotal historical moment as the Vietnam War era shifted. Combined with the mindful breathing philosophy of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh and the Japanese punctuation marks 「、」 (comma/ten) and 「。」 (period/maru), this artwork bridges personal history, global movements, and the present moment.
In Japanese, "Ten to Maru" carries a double meaning: "Points and Circles" (punctuation), and "Ten, Tomaru" (a point where you pause and breathe).
- "Maru (。)" represents the end of a sentence—and the inevitable end that will one day come to us all.
- "Ten (、)" is the moment to pause, take a breath, and remain in the present moment. Not to erase past pain, but to carry it and take the next step forward.

Ten to Maru Logo Art Series NEWSPAPER（新聞紙版・点と丸）
「Project Semicolon（セミコロン・プロジェクト）」――困難を経験した人々が物語を続ける意志の象徴にインスピレーションを受け、日本語の句読点「、」と「。」を組み合わせたロゴ作品。
自分が生まれた日の実際の新聞を探して購入し、そこに大きく掲載されていた歴史が大きく動く瞬間のニュース（ベトナム戦争終結へ向かう時代の空気）をベースに、AIを用いて解体・再構築したテクスチャを背景に使用している。
さらに、ベトナムの僧侶ティク・ナット・ハンの思想「今、この瞬間の呼吸を見つめる生き方」に出会い深くインスパイアされたことで、歴史、思想、そして自身の歩みが一本の線としてつながった。
日本語の「Ten to Maru」には二つの意味が込められている。
ひとつは、読点（、）と句点（。）を表す「点と丸」。
もうひとつは、立ち止まり、呼吸をするための「点、止まる」。
「丸（。）」は文章の終わりであり、必ずいつかは訪れる「死」の象徴。
「点（、）」は息継ぎをし、立ち止まる瞬間。過去の傷や記憶を「忘れる・清算する」のではなく、すべてを抱えたまま「いま、ここ」で息を吸い、再び新しい一歩を刻み出す起点である。

Light Up Projectは、音楽、アート、言葉、写真、ファッション（Outfit）など、多角的な表現を通して思想を形にするクリエイティブプロジェクトです。
誰かを変えることではなく、自分自身の中に「すでに存在している光（Already）」に気づくことから世界は変わり始めます。心が動いたとき、小さな灯りが点灯します。
このアートワークはその旅の途中で生まれたひとつの形であり、日常の空間で自分自身の感情に灯りを灯すきっかけ（スイッチ）となるアイコンです。
